Electric Locomotives
VR Ltd´s electric locomotives consist of two series: The older stock chassis (Sr1 series) from the Soviet Union that has electrical parts made by Strömberg of Finland and the newer "Lok 2000" (Sr2) type locomotives from Adtranz/Bombardier that are currently being manufactured by Bombardier / Talgo Transtech consortium. Both series of locomotives utilize EKE TDR Event Recorders as well as EKE ATC related NMI/2 Speedometers in the drivers' cabins. The fleet consists of 112 Sr1 and 46 Sr2 locomotive. |
