The HRC project consists of seven modern two-car train sets (DMU). The trains will be operating on the Hunter Region, NSW, Australia. The trains are build by United Group Rail, Newcastle, NSW. EKE-Trainnet® Train Operating System (TOS) and Event Recorder in Hunter Rail Cars are mainly for monitoring and diagnostics systems that integrates all intelligent subsystems in the train. |

- TCN based train communication (WTB) & CAN
- Full TOS with diagnostics and limited control functions
- Autonomous Event Recorder
- Driver's and Guard's Interface
TOS and ER Functions in the HRC Train
- Integrates all intelligent subsystems along the train
- Provides a common, menu-based, interface for the user
• Monitors and diagnoses the train functions • Informs the staff of any problem
- Provides appropriate instructions for the staff to eliminate the problem based on pre-determined messages
- Diagnoses the train functions and stores diagnostic information in coach databases for maintenance use
- Provides a centralized user interface for subsystem control and monitoring
• Engines, door locking/release, air conditioning, etc
- Provides user interface for the Communications System
- An autonomous Event Recorder in each Car
The TOS and ER equipment for one car consist of
- 1 EKE-TOS Train Computer,
- 1 EKE-TOS IO Subsystem,
- 1 EKE-ER Event Recorder,
- 2 EKE-MMI Display Units for the driver and guard.
