Video Surveillance

Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) is becoming more popular particularly in metros and commuter trains. The benefits are clear: Additional security to passengers and analysis tool in case of any event, e.g. vandalism.

Using the EKE-Trainnet® Ethernet Switching Units the CCTV functionality can be implemented easily. All the cameras will be connected to an Ethernet network managed by ESUs, fed by Power-over-Ethernet modules, and the video data will be stored to a network-attached storage (NAS) or in Rugged Memory Module with extended memory footprint (e.g. 16GB).

Video material can be analyzed with a PC back-office software.

CCTV functionality can be implemented on top of EKE-Trainnet® Train Management System at minimal additional cost. EKE Ethernet platform support any IP-based CCTV system.
