EKE-Electronics Ltd. will deliver EKE-Trainnet® Train Communication and Management System (TCMS) with sub-system control and diagnostics to Transtech Oy for 40 Double Deck Intercity Coaches ordered by VR Ltd. (Finnish Railway) in May 2010.
The Double Decker coaches of VR are comfortable, roomy and reliable passenger coaches for InterCity lines operated VR. There are already over 100 coaches of similar type in use in Finland by VR. These coaches have become very popular amongst passengers in Finland.
EKE-Electronics Ltd. scope of supply includes Central Processing Units, and User Interface displays, Digital Input/Output Modules, Analogue Input Modules and Power Supply Units, as well as functional software applications, system documentation and project work.
Equipment deliveries will start early in 2011.
