EKE-Electronics Ltd. announces break-through system integration project in Brazil

EKE-Electronics Ltd. to deliver integrated Ethernet based Train Communication and Management System, Passenger Information System and Video Surveillance System for São Paulo Metro Line 3 refurbishment project.

EKE-Electronics Ltd. has been awarded a major contract in Brazil by the MTTrens consortium. The scope of supply will include Train Communication, Management and Diagnostic System, Passenger Information System (PIS) and the CCTV System.

Train Communication System will be based on 1Gbps optical Ethernet backbone network. São Paulo Metro line 3 will be the first metro train in the world to utilize this leading edge technology.

The systems will be installed in 25 refurbished São Paulo metro trains. The first train will start commercial operation in 2010. The last deliveries are estimated to take place in 2013.
