EKE-Electronics Ltd, will be exhibiting its Train Management Systems products portfolio at Trako Fair Trade 2009, hall 04A, stand 16. The exhibition will be held in Gdansk, Poland on October 14th-16th, 2009. TRAKO is the largest and most prestigious rail industry event in Poland and one of the largest in Central and Eastern Europe. In the past year EKE-Electronics has intensified its activities in Central and Eastern Europe. Recent references in the region include projects in Ukraine, Austria, Slovakia, Romania and Germany. In Romania, EKE-Electronics has established a close relationship with CFR Călători S.A., as well as with local coach manufacturers Astra Vagoane Călători and Remar. EKE-Electronics’ delivers data gateways, diagnostics and control systems as well as fully automatic passenger information systems with a support from EKE´s local partner Tehmin-Brasov. EKE-Electronics is also involved in building a depot WLAN network to CFR depot’s for diagnostics and passenger information system data transmission. In Ukraine EKE-Electronics will supply train communication gateway solution to a metro project. EKE’s Polish partner Medcom Sp. z.o.o. will be the system integrator for the project and the trains will be manufactured by Kryukovsky Vagonzavod in Ukraine. EKE-Electronics scope of supply includes EKE-Trainnet® Gateways that manage data traffic in the train, including control and diagnostic data. In Austria, EKE-Electronics equipment is used as a key part of the modernization project of ÖBB Rh 1044 locomotive fleet. The scope of supply includes gateway and remote control system which controls and diagnoses operative data of the locomotive and allows multi-traction use. The system integrator in the project is Swiss Railtec Systems GmbH. In Slovakia EKE-Electronics supplies TCN train communication gateway solution for new 671 ZSSK EMUs that Škoda Transportation will deliver to Slovakian Railways. In Germany, EKE-Electronics will supply train communication gateway solution to Stadler Pankow GmbH. EKE-Trainnet® gateways will be used in Stadler’s various FLIRT Regio-Shuttle train projects.
