Appointments at EKE-Electronics Ltd.

EKE-Electronics Ltd. announced the following appointments within the Customer Project Delivery and R&D departments.

Customer Project Delivery department appointments:

Jussi Savolainen has been appointed as Project Manager. He has been working for the company as a Test System Designer, since 2007. He is in charge of the Reliance Rail’s Sydney Double-Deck Suburban Train Project in Australia, one of the first large scale train projects in the World, where the whole non-safety-critical train data network is based on Ethernet and open IP technology.

Mari Sipponen has been appointed as Customer Support Engineer. She joined the company in 2008 and was previously working as Technical Writer for the R&D department.

Jan Tiri has been appointed as Project Engineer.

All three report to Sauli Luoto (Director, Customer Project Delivery).


A new team has been formed within the Research and Development department. The new Quality Assurance Team is responsible for coordinating different quality activities. The team started its operation in January 2010.


R&D Quality Assurance Team appointments:

Jari Kokkonen has been appointed as R&D Quality Assurance Manager. He has been with EKE-Electronics Ltd. since 2008 and most recently worked as a Senior Software Designer. He reports to Jyrki Keurulainen (Director of R&D)

Rami Heiskanen has been appointed as Software Test Engineer. He reports to Jari Kokkonen.


R&D Software Engineering Team appointments:

Harry Blom has been appointed as Software Designer.

Joonas Sääksjärvi, has been appointed as Software Designer.

They report to Joni Sandelin (Software Engineering Manager).


R&D Hardware and Platform engineering appointments:

Kalle Pokki has been appointed as Senior System Software Designer. He has been with EKE-Electronics Ltd. since 2001.

Pirjo Halonen has been appointed as Hardware Designer.

Tero Kapanen, who has been with EKE-Electronics Ltd. since 1999, has been appointed to Senior Hardware Designer.

They report to Kimmo Lindholm (Hardware and Platform Development Manager).
